DePaul's Lincoln Park campus is the oldest, largest and most active
of the university's six campuses. Located on 36 acres in the heart of
Chicago's historic Lincoln Park neighborhood, this campus offers a traditional
university environment. Approximately 3,000 students live on campus
in DePaul's 19 residence halls and buildings.
The Lincoln Park Campus is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
The Theatre School, the School of Music, the School of Education, and
the extensive John T. Richardson Library.
Our three-level Student
Center, which opened in early 2002, offers one-stop access to student
services, dining facilities, a cyber cafe and expanded space for organizations
ranging from special-interest clubs to the Cultural Center. Other recent
additions include the state-of-the-art McGowan Sciences Center and the
Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreational Center, featuring four basketball
courts, a six-lane pool and scores of fitness machines and weights.

DePaul's Writing Centers encourage students to take charge of their
writing by offering them help and feedback. They help students become
better writers as they draft and revise their work, and act as readers,
helping students to fully develop their ideas and understand how an
awareness of audience can help them clarify and connect their points.
They also provide assistance to students for whom English is a second
or third language. Additionally, they help students deal with technology
and writing, Internet research issues, and offer feedback on questions
about document design.
Smoking Areas
DePaul campuses are non-smoking environments. A smoking area is provided
outside the main entrance.
Student Centers
With outstanding facilities and services for events, programs and dining
services needs, the Student
Centers facilitate cultural, social, and educational programs.
