Getting Around

Chicago is centrally located and is a gateway for travel. O'Hare International and Midway Airports are a short subway ride away from DePaul's campuses and offer flights to locations around the world. Chicago boasts one of the most comprehensive transportation systems, making travel within the city and surrounding areas extremely convenient.

Chicago Transportation Authority/Metra
The CTA manages the "el" and subway trains and buses. You can get where you want to go with CTA. The Metra commuter trains speed riders from downtown to all parts of Chicagoland.

U-Pass
DePaul students are eligible for special U-passes from the CTA for low-cost transportation.

Amtrak
Chicago's history as the gateway to the West meant that train travel was the way to get around. Amtrak leaves from the beautifully restored Union Station in downtown Chicago, about 10 minutes walking from DePaul's Loop campus.

Greyhound Bus
If you like to travel by road, Greyhound Bus leaves and arrives in downtown Chicago and is a great way to see the country.
