Dining & Entertainment

There's never a shortage of things to do and see. Chicago is home to world-class museums, theatre, music and festivals, not to mention wonderful restaurants.

Music
The term "jazz" was coined in Chicago and the city is still the blues capital of the world. Shows at the House of Blues or Second City Comedy Club are great for small or large groups. There are small music clubs throughout the city featuring some of Chicago's best talent. All the professional acts you love come through town to play at any number of large venues.

Lake Michigan
Stroll along Navy Pier or just take a spin or bike ride along Lake Shore Drive (LSD).

Ethnic Communities
Chicago is home to some of the most vibrant ethnic communities in America. Each of the city's more than 60 communities are centered in dynamic neighborhoods where residents share their cultural heritage, foods, art and philosophy. Some favorites include Greektown, Chinatown, Ukrainian Village and Little Italy.

Sports

Chicago is major league in every way, including sports. It's one of only three cities in the country with
six professional teams: Bears, chicago photo Blackhawks, Bulls, Chicago Fire, Cubs and White Sox. Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is a sight to see even if the Cubs aren't in town! The ballpark installed lights in 1988 and its scoreboard is still changed by hand. You can view the Harry Carey statues or stop by one of the neighborhood shops, restaurants and bars. And of course Chicago is home of the 2005 World Series Champions, the Chicago White Sox.

If it's playing sports you're interested in, Chicago has a number of amatuer athletic leagues for just about any sport you play. You can grab a pick up basketball game in one of the Chicago Park District Field Houses, or play soccer along the lakefront.
