I have an excellent relationship with my students. Helping them achieve their individual academic and career goals is very rewarding to me.

What do you like best about DePaul students?
The diversity of my students.

What do students like best about the courses you teach?
Involvement and participation. They love the ability to connect class material with real life situations.

What has been your greatest success while teaching here?
The ability to get through to the diverse sets of students in my classes. I feel I am successful in reaching each of them, despite their different experiences and skill levels.

What is the biggest challenge facing those who pursue studies in information systems and/or software project management?
In the school of CDM, one of the biggest challenges is that my students have to think beyond computer science. Information systems students need to think like business persons with technical knowledge. Solving organizational problem requires different thinking than that required for solving technical problems.

What makes DePaul different from other universities?
We emphasize both teaching and research – this is unique to DePaul.

What would you say to prospective students considering DePaul?
It is the best school in the Chicago metro area.
