Engaging in research can be a transformative educational experience—one that helps define your area of interest and tie your knowledge to practical application. Every DePaul undergraduate has the opportunity to participate in a variety of research projects. Here are some of the ways you can structure your research project:

  • Devising an independent research project for credit through independent studies and Junior Year Experiential Learning courses
  • Collaborating with a faculty member on a research project and earning a stipend through the Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program
  • Participating in the annual Undergraduate Research Conference as part of the Chicago Area Undergraduate Research Symposium
  • Applying to be part of the Research Experience for Undergraduates program, funded by the National Science Foundation, for work in medical informatics through the College of Computing and Digital Media
