Spanish is a major global language, with over 400 million speakers. It is also a major language of the United States, where it is spoken by over 30 million people. As the influence of Spanish-speaking cultures increases both here and worldwide, the mastery of Spanish helps open the door to several career opportunities. The Spanish Program at offers courses in language, literature, culture, linguistics, cinema, commercial Spanish and translation/interpretation.
