DePaul's Bachelor of Arts in Digital Cinema program will prepare you for a career in production by teaching you how to use the latest digital technology and examining classic cinema narrative theory and aesthetics. As a Digital Cinema student, you may concentrate in Cinema Production, Screenwriting, Television Production or Sound.
The Cinema Production concentration focuses on:
- Cinema history
- Cinema theory
- Live-action production
The Screenwriting concentration focuses on:
- Advanced screenwriting techniques
- Cinema history
- Cinema production
- Cinema theory
- Dramatic literature
The Television Production concentration focuses on:
- Editing
- Post-production
- Program design
- Studio and field production for video and television
The Sound concentration focuses on using cutting edge sound equipment and technologies for cinema production and post-production
You will gain practical production experience through classes, internships and DePaul's Project Bluelight program, where you will work with other students and faculty members on a full-length feature film or independent short productions.
We also offer a combined Bachelor's/Master's of Digital Cinema degree, which allows you to complete a bachelor's degree and a graduate degree in Digital Cinema in five years.
