In the Information Assurance and Security Engineering program, you will learn the fundamentals of information security, security infrastructure design and implementation, computer forensics, risk assessment and the impact of security requirements on business operations.
Through courses and the hands-on curriculum, you will learn to design, implement and manage various security infrastructure components. You will also gain real-world experience by using DePaul's information assurance and security laboratory, which includes multi-vendor firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN), intrusion detection and prevention systems, routers, switches and event correlation systems.
We also offer a combined Bachelor's/Master's of Information Assurance and Security Engineering degree, which allows you to complete a bachelor's degree and a graduate degree in Information Assurance and Security Engineering in five years.
