DePaul admits students each quarter to all university schools and colleges except the School of Music and The Theatre School (fall admission only).

  1. Apply online at depaul.edu/apply​ ($25 application fee) or submit a completed downloaded Application for Transfer Admission​ ($40 application fee).
  2. Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (regardless of grades or amount of credit earned or attempted).

    • If you have completed 30 semester (44 quarter) hours of transferable credit at another college or university when you apply, your admission decision will be based on your college performance.
    • If you have completed fewer than 30 semester (44 quarter) hours of transferable credit at another college or university when you apply, your admission decision will be based on your high school and college performance.
  3. Submit an official high school transcript and ACT/SAT score report if you have fewer than 30 semester (44 quarter) hours of transferable credit. If you received your high school equivalency, you must submit your GED score report.

  6. If you are currently taking college courses, please indicate (on a separate sheet of paper) what courses you will be enrolled in for the current term or for a future term. Admission GPA Guidelines

Transfer applicants for the programs listed below must meet the following cumulative grade point average minimums and requirements for consideration:

Students who apply for admission after the deadline will have their application considered on a space-available basis until the first day of class.

Application Fee

The application fee for transfer students is $25 if you apply online, or $40 (check or money order) if you submit a paper application. This application fee is non-refundable. Make your check payable to DePaul University. Send in your application fee, and be sure to write your name and social security number on the check. When it arrives at DePaul, we will match it up with your application. You should send in your application fee as soon as possible after submitting the application.
