If you are enrolled at least half time, have completed all required paperwork, and have met all eligibility requirements, your financial aid will be credited directly to your student account.

These credits - called disbursements - will post to your account approximately ten days before the start of each term, provided all eligibility requirements are met.

In general, your financial aid awards are evenly split over the terms in which you plan to enroll during the academic year. For example, if you are enrolled full time and are awarded a $3,000 scholarship, you generally will receive a $1,000 disbursement at the beginning of the fall, winter and spring terms.

Disbursed aid funds are first applied to outstanding tuition costs, then to any housing costs or university fees. Aid disbursements in excess of your DePaul charges will be refunded to you.  For more information about refunds, visit the Refunds FAQ section of the Student Accounts web site.

Federal Work-Study funds are not disbursed to your university account. They are paid directly to you as a paycheck from your on-campus job.
