GRADUATE THEATRE SCHOOL
Thank you for your interest in the graduate Theatre School. Please read through the instructions below before filling out the online application.
New students are admitted only at the beginning of the autumn quarter of each year and must enroll full time.
Application Deadline
Two weeks prior to your audition or your interview date or January 15, whichever date is earlier. For acting and directing applicants, it is the applicant's responsibility to contact The Theatre School's Admission Office to reserve an audition date. For arts leadership applicants, interviews are by invitation and are completed in February. All decisions are rendered and communicated in March.
Application Fee
An application fee of $50.00 is required. Checks should be payable to "DePaul University." Be sure to write your name and your social security number on the check. When it arrives at DePaul, we will match it up with your application. You should send in your application fee to The Theatre School's Admission Office as soon as possible after submitting the application on line.
Transcripts
You must arrange to have an official copy of your academic transcripts from every college or university you've attended sent to:

Application Materials
A completed Theatre School application includes:
- completed application form
- application Essay (included in the online version)
- application fee of $50.00
- one official transcript from each institution attended
- three letters of recommendation
- a resume
- an identification photograph
- an audition (for Actors and Directors)
