CENTER FOR ACCESS AND ATTAINMENT
The Division of EM&M concretizes DePaul's commitment to access and attainment through the Center for Access and Attainment at DePaul.
The mission of the Center for Access and Attainment is to serve as a focal point for dialogue, strategy and action concerning college access and attainment, consistent with DePaul’s vision to exceed national norms in recruiting, retaining and graduating a diverse student body, with an emphasis on first-generation and low-income students in the Chicago area.
The Center achieves this by:
- providing research centered on issues of access and attainment that stimulates campus, community and international discourse
- cultivating institutional and community partnerships to foster high school to university transition
- delivering pre-college programs for underserved college-bound students
- administering the university’s federally funded student support programs for low-income and first-generation students
