The Research and Analysis strategy group provides information for university planning and management and manages the data infrastructure for decision and planning support. Its work encompasses enrollment projections, market research, student surveys, institutional reporting, academic program review, financial analysis, and outcomes assessment. Two areas fall within this strategy group:
Enrollment & Marketing Research (EMR) focuses specifically on supporting the university's enrollment management and marketing strategies. Its work includes market analysis, enrollment trend analysis, and pricing and financial aid analysis. The most significant successes, improvements and innovations in DePaul's marketing and enrollment strategies stem from the "action research" and the data analysis coordinated by EMR.
Office of Institutional Planning and Research (OIPR) supports university-wide policymaking and management processes by providing standardized data and institutional reporting, conducting academic research for various activities such as academic program review and learning outcomes assessment, coordinating all university-wide student survey research and enhancing management and decision support systems.
