
Brian Spittle is in his 23rd year of administration at DePaul University. In his current role as assistant vice president, he oversees the Center for Access and Attainment, which encompasses the university's TRiO programs and the division's community outreach activities and partnerships with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS).
Brian is actively involved with several access initiatives both in the United States and the United Kingdom. In Chicago, Brian has been a member of the Steering Committee for the Consortium on Chicago School Research since August 2007. The Steering Committee brings together researchers at the University of Chicago, CPS and other organizations to inform policy and practice in CPS and to study the long-term effects of school reform. Brian's academic achievements include a bachelor of arts in politics from Nottingham University in England, and a master's degree in political science from McMaster University in Canada. He was awarded a Ph.D. in social and philosophical foundations of education from the University of Buffalo.

Gina SanchezEvent PlannerGina Sanchez joined the Center for Access and Attainment in January 2008 and has been event planner since October 2010. Gina recently joined the ranks of the ''Double Demons,'' she holds a B.A. in communication and an M.A. in media, culture and society through the College of Communication at DePaul. |

Robert KarpinskiDirector, Catholic School InitiativesRobert Karpinski has been director of Catholic School Initiatives since September 2009. In his role, Robert is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to expand and strengthen DePaul's relationships with Catholic Schools, particularly in the Chicago area, in order to develop a long-term Catholic school enrollment strategy along with improving the coordination and effectiveness of Catholic School outreach and partnership activities with DePaul. Before coming to DePaul, Robert worked as the principal and chief academic officer for North Lawndale College Prep in Chicago. He holds a Ph.D. in educational administration and supervision from Fordham University and a M. Div. from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. |

Glenna OusleyDirector, Community OutreachGlenna Ousley, director of Community Outreach, has been with DePaul since August 1998. In her role, Glenna develops and fosters relationships and partnerships with educational and community organizations in support of the university's enrollment goals. Glenna has worked as assistant director of Admission at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and director of Minority Affairs at University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Business Administration. Glenna holds a B.S. and an M.S. in communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |

Amanda Parada-VillatoroAssistant Director, Community OutreachAmanda Parada-Villatoro has been an assistant director for Community Outreach since February 2011. Amanda is responsible for developing and managing pre-college academic enrichment summer programming and initiatives. Amanda also assists in implementing strategies to create and build relationships with targeted schools and community organizations to establish pathways toward college. Prior to DePaul, Amanda gained admission experience at Rockford College in her hometown of Rockford, Ill. She holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently pursuing an M.A. in multicultural and organizational communication at DePaul. |

Anita RossoDirector, TRiO Student Support ServicesAnita Rosso has been the director of TRiO Student Support Services since September 1997. Anita oversees all management, supervision and implementation of the U.S. Department of Education's TRiO Student Support Services grant. Previously at DePaul, Anita worked as an administrative assistant/project coordinator for McPREP Academy, and she also has experience as an ESL instructor, adult and youth vocational trainer, and citizenship instructor. Anita holds a B.A. in English and a M.S. in public services, focusing on nonprofit administration, from DePaul. |

Rachel ChotoAssistant Director, TRiO Student Support ServicesRachel Choto has been the assistant director of TRiO Student Support Services since October 2008. Rachel assists in selecting program participants, and provides advising services that help students integrate their academic, personal and career interests. Rachel also helps students develop sound financial plans that support timely progress toward obtaining their degrees. Rachel holds a B.A. in sociology and anthropology from Ohio Wesleyan University and a M.S.W. in social work administration from Ohio State University. |

Marcela RiosProgram Coordinator, TRiO Student Support ServicesMarcela Rios has served as the program coordinator for TRiO Student Support Services since July 2010. Marcela works with first-generation and low-income students, a role very fitting for her as she is a first-generation and former TRiO SSS student herself. She has previous experience as a Spanish tutor within DePaul's Department of Modern Languages as well as a math and economics tutor within TRiO SSS. She holds a B.A. from DePaul in both economics and Spanish, and hopes to pursue an M.A. in applied statistics. |

Luciano BerardiAssociate Director, TRiO McNair Scholars ProgramLuciano Berardi has been the assistant director for the TRiO McNair Scholars Program since October 2007. Luciano focuses on developing and implementing program activities for the Scholars, as well as maintaining records of student participation for federal and campus reporting purposes. Luciano is also responsible for coordinating campus visits to graduate schools, cultural events and conference presentations for the Scholars, as well as serving as a liaison with other key university offices, such as the Study Abroad Program. Luciano holds a License in Clinical Psychology from Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from DePaul. |
