Brian Spittle, Ph.D.
Assistant Vice President
for Access and Attainment

Brian Spittle is in his 21st year of administration at DePaul University. In his current role as assistant vice president, he oversees the Center for Access and Attainment, which encompasses the university's TRiO programs and the division's community outreach activities and partnerships with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS).
Brian is actively involved with several access initiatives both in the United States and the United Kingdom. In Chicago, Brian has been a member of the Steering Committee for the
Consortium on Chicago School Research since August 2007. The Steering Committee brings together researchers at the University of Chicago, CPS and other organizations to inform policy and practice in CPS and to study the long-term effects of school reform.

Brian's academic achievements include a bachelor of arts in politics from Nottingham University in England, and a master's degree in political science from McMaster University in Canada. He was awarded a Ph.D. in social and philosophical foundations of education from the University of Buffalo.
