Carol Montgomery

Associate Vice President for Career and Money Management


Carol Montgomery, associate vice president, has been with DePaul since 2000. Carol's guidance has enabled DePaul to give students opportunities to build upon their education by gaining skills and connections that are necessary to define a career path, manage their money and find gainful and rewarding employment.

The strategic initiatives Carol has provided leadership and direction for include aligning Student Employment with the Career Center, instituting the University Internship and Co-op Programs, building a network of experienced alumni mentors for current students and recent alumni and developing the Financial Fitness Program for students. Carol also developed metrics-based measures for the Career Center that have become a model for other areas in the university. She has presented at national conferences on developing metrics and the synergy between alumni and career offices, experiential education and internship program development.

Prior to joining DePaul, Carol spent 15 years in the advertising industry, as a creative professional, then in an executive search capacity. She holds both a bachelor's and master's in English literature.
