FAQ
What is the required program completion time?
Degree programs must be completed within a six-year time period.
What are the various degree programs to choose from?
-
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- The MBA has long been recognized as the standard comprehensive, broad-based graduate degree in business. DePaul's programs are designed so that classroom and real-world learning work together to broaden and deepen each student's understanding of the complex issues faced by today's business decision-makers.
-
Part-time MBA program
- Students may complete their MBA on a part-time basis by taking morning, evening or weekend classes.
-
Full-time MBA program
- Students wishing to obtain the MBA on a full-time basis may choose to join the evening program or the day program. Admission to the day MBA program is limited to the fall quarter. Day MBA students take all of their required courses as a cohort group and can then select from any of the MBA concentrations.
-
J.D./MBA joint degree program
- This program requires that prospective students apply separately to the DePaul University College of Law J.D. program and to the part-time MBA program. Once admitted, a student must first complete one full year of legal studies with a high level of academic achievement and then petition for acceptance into the combined program before beginning MBA course work.
Are there travel abroad opportunities for graduate students?
International study tours are available through DePaul University’s Study Abroad Program for four hours of course credit. Please be sure to check with your academic advisor as to how this course can be applied to your program.
What are the grade requirements?
- Two grades of F or FX will result in automatic dismissal from the program.
- A student will be placed on probation as soon as his/her graduate GPA falls below 2.0.
- A cumulative average of C (2.0) is required for graduation. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is required throughout the M.S. in Business Information Technology program.
- Students will receive credit for a concentration course in which they receive a C- or better. Any grade lower than C- in a concentration course does not count as credit toward the degree, and the student must repeat the course or an approved substitute.
- To graduate with distinction, students must have a GPA of at least 3.6.
