Dreamer, creator, motivator
Most important thing I've learned so far in my major:
It's not what you know; it's how you apply what you know.
Can't live without:
Traveling! I must be on a plane at least once a month.
I'm most proud of:
Developing the relationship between DePaul students and the Disney College Program. We have nine students in the program for Fall 2012!
Favorite academic project:
To create and successfully run a five-star hotel that would host an evening gala. In my role as director of human resources, I created both an internal and external mission statement, team member and leadership standards, a training agenda and a budget plan.
Love going to school in Chicago because:
There are opportunities around every corner. Experiential learning is taken to a whole new level!
I've always wanted to:
Travel to Fiji
Disney Imagineer Project Planner...It's going to happen!
Talk about your experience with the Disney College Program.
I participated in the program June 2010 through January 2011. I worked at the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction where I would take guests on a two week journey through the African Savannah. I also worked parade control shifts in Disney's Magic Kingdom. During the program I took two courses, one of which was Creativity and Innovation, which is the best course I have ever taken. After completing the program, I applied for the Disney Campus Representative position and now I recruit other DePaul students for Disney's programs. I love spreading the word about the magnificent experiences Disney provides for students!
Can you tell us about your travels through International Business Seminar to Turkey?
I traveled to Turkey with DePaul's Driehaus College of Business this past Spring 2012 for a 10 day inernational business seminar. The topic of the seminar was "Logistics Within Turkey." We toured different logistic businesses and universities. We traveled to Istanbul, Izmir and Cappadocia where we participated in a variety of tourist activities, such as a sunrise hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia and a private tour of the NATO headquarters in Izmir. The trip was an amazing experience!
