I chose my major because… I am hoping to pursue a career in the medical field.  I am not sure whether I would like to go to medical or dental school yet, but being a biology major will help prepare me for whichever path I choose to take.

My favorite thing to do on campus is… to enjoy some of the many activities that are available at the Ray Meyer Center. Usually in between my classes, I like to go play basketball or lift weights with my friends.

I decided to attend DePaul because… DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus is one of the best places to be. It seems to have a close-knit community, there is always something to do, and the people are the best.

The class I most enjoyed here was… microbiology. Dr. Funk was a great professor that made the class fun and enjoyable. Also, it was an interesting class that isn’t as boring as people think.

When I have free time, I like to… go to the beach when it is warm and eat at one of the many restaurants there are around the Lincoln Park area. There are so many different places to go sometimes it is hard to choose.

My favorite thing to do off campus is… to go to the beach or the downtown area when the weather is nice. North Avenue beach and downtown aren’t far from campus at all.

The greatest thing about going to school in Chicago is… the fact that Chicago is the best city in the U.S. The food is great, the environment is amazing, the people are nice and there is always something to do.

The best thing about DePaul is… the campus. It is full of excitement at all times, but when work needs to be done there are also areas such as the library where a students can go and study.

What I remember most about my first quarter at DePaul is… getting to meet all of my new friends. Another thing I remember was getting used to my class schedule and how college classes work.

My greatest success as a student here has been… being a part of the Dean’s List every quarter that I’ve been here. Receiving the letter that says that I made the Dean’s List makes all of the hard work worthwhile.

After graduation, I plan to… attend dental or medical school. Either way I will be pursuing my career in the medical field.

The one thing I’d like to say to students considering DePaul… is that it was the best decision that I have ever made. DePaul University gives students the chance to have all the fun that the college life should have while allowing them to have academic success.
