Area of Study:
Sales Leadership/Customer Relationship Management

I chose my major because... I wanted to stay close to new trends and developments in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) practices in the world. I believe that learning to adapt the basic principles of sales and CRM practices to the business environment and integrating them with my previous experience in the marketing field will enable me be to become a better leader, a striving team player and a well-rounded business woman.

My favorite thing to do on campus is...to attend the diverse events that DePaul has to offer. I believe that one can find many interesting occasions, varied happenings, gatherings and also various self-improvement studies at DePaul. The Career Center itself and the on-track professors that are truly committed to providing better assistance to students have a lot to offer to those seeking business opportunities. In these terms, the school presents a rich variety of opportunities when it comes to building strong liaisons with companies and getting in touch with the latest techniques that are being used in the outside world. I find whatever I am looking for under DePaul’s roof.

I decided to attend DePaul because... DePaul offers a vivid, well-shaped, and up-to-date set of concentrations that prepare future executives in numerous specialized fields. Also, DePaul’s MBA curriculum is more diverse than any other business schools in the area. I have seen that DePaul prepared students for their futures by enriching their knowledge of industries and businesses while providing great face-to-face access to people and organizations that one would normally not be able to reach.

The learning environment here at DePaul is... simply glorious! You meet and work with professors with at least fifteen years of experience in their respective fields. You are not only surrounded by business cases taken from books, but also real life situations furnished by instructors, guest speakers and fellow students. These provide you with great opportunities to connect to the real business world and to get mentored from diversified professionals.

When I have free time, I like to... explore Chicago and see what this beautiful city has to offer. Both the Lincoln Park and Loop campuses provide the feel of living in the city where you may find many interesting things to do. In one single day, you can benefit from the lake view, shops, art galleries, theaters and numerous museums, as well as discover world cuisine and so on. DePaul not only offers you a great education and a promising future, but also a great city to live in while being a part of the business world.

One thing I didn’t know about DePaul before coming was... that concentration courses were formed with business professionals and that some companies actually support these programs by being part of them. They either participate in the courses as guest speakers or offer real life business cases where you can have a deeper, more tangible comprehension of business challenges. The cases that students work on are real life cases and the recommendations provided by those students are appreciated by companies which make you feel that you are not doing an assignment for class, but rather, you are literally working on a special project in a business environment.

Here, the diversity of students, faculty and staff is ... enriching. You study and work with many people coming from different backgrounds in terms of education, culture, life and work experience, ethnicity and so on. You exchange ideas and learn to survive in the global environment.

The greatest thing about going to school in Chicago is... that you can find a new attraction every day, and that keeps you alive. There are so many cultural and artistic events going on in the city that you feel 24 hours in a day are not enough.

As an international student, DePaul was the ideal place to pursue my degree because... I decided to pursue my further studies in areas that will become popular in coming years. I decided on the subject of CRM and sales and started my search. One of the most important criteria for me was to be in an urban area where business and job opportunities were promising. I found DePaul in the center of Chicago, a highly ranked university amongst its peers, strong ties of alumni network and a great institution where you feel satisfied just to be a part of it!

One thing I'd like to tell international students considering attending DePaul is that... DePaul offers a variety of concentrations, not only in terms of education, but also in the selection of lifestyle and on-campus living. International students will find many organizations that will help them integrate easily to a new culture and environment while focusing on their areas of study and enjoying the city itself.

After graduation, I plan to... work in a CRM-oriented company where I can blend my marketing and sales experience with the vision and knowledge I am gathering from my school. I also intend to share my experience with students in my hometown to help them grasp new trends and prepare for the future.

The one thing I’d like to say to students considering DePaul... For students who are looking to learn new trends, to be a part of a big institution and a thorough organization flavored with a robust alumni network, to experience a big city or to work with professionals while studying, DePaul is the place to be!
