I chose my major because... I enjoy music and wanted to get a degree for more than just music performance, so I chose arts management instead.
My favorite thing to do on campus is... playing frisbee in the Quad, and walking around campus taking pictures of flowers.
I decided to attend DePaul because... I love the city of Chicago and thought it would open a lot of opportunities for me, and because I liked the program at the School of Music, I wanted to be in.
The learning environment here at DePaul is... pretty laid back and seems flexible to the busy schedules of music students.
My favorite professor at DePaul is... my private lesson instructor, Elsa Charlston.
When I have free time, I like to... relax and sit outside if it's nice out; or go walk around downtown Chicago.
One thing I didn't know about DePaul before coming was... that it had such a diverse student body.
The greatest thing about going to school in Chicago is... having access to the city at all times.
The one DePaul experience I will always remember will be... Discover Chicago.
The best thing about DePaul is... how, at the Lincoln Park campus, you get the "college feeling" of a more traditionally laid out school, but you're within a very close distance of the "big city" life and all the different opportunities that the city has to offer.
What I remember most about my first quarter at DePaul is... all of the different kinds of people that I got to meet in my Discover Chicago class, and all the things we experienced together.
My greatest success as a student here has been... maintaining a high GPA and not feeling like I was always consumed with schoolwork in a way that made me feel like I had no free time.
After graduation, I plan to... hopefully stay in Chicago, working in the arts management field.
The one thing I'd like to say to students considering DePaul is... keep yourself busy with school and take what classes you want to take. Make sure to take advantage of being in the city, even if it just means going downtown to walk around. No matter how you use that resource, it is one that should not be ignored.
