The BA in Digital Cinema is an innovative motion picture production program dedicated to utilizing the latest digital technology while incorporating classic cinema narrative theory and aesthetics. Students receive hands-on experience with the latest production equipment in the first year and get an insider's view of the industry from experienced faculty.
Concentrations
Cinema Production Concentration
This concentration features a hands-on program in live-action production. With its greater number of electives students may also develop an interdisciplinary program of study in cinema history and theory.
Writing for Film and Television Concentration
This concentration features a program of study in advanced screenwriting in addition to core courses in cinema production, dramatic literature and cinema history/theory.
Television Concentration
This concentration features a hands-on experience with cutting edge digital equipment in studio and field production for video and television. Students apply theoretical concepts while planning and designing programs, capturing, editing (linear and non-linear) and post-production.
Sound Concentration
This concentration features hands-on experience with cutting edge
equipment and technologies in production and post-production sound for
cinema in addition to other core courses in cinema production and
post-production.
