The BS in Information Technology focuses on preparing graduates who are concerned with issues related to advocating for users and meeting their needs within an organizational and societal context through the selection, creation, application, integration and administration of computing technologies. This degree prepares you to become skilled in problem solving and programming, networks and communications systems, databases, Internet and Web technologies, security and project management, and have a strong grasp of business concepts and technical communications.

The BS in Information Technology can be completed online by transfer students if they meet the following requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 45 quarter/30 semester hours of transfer credit
  • Have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
  • Be in good standing at the last school they attended
Note - The lab science requirement and the pre-calculus prerequisite for the Data Analysis (IT 223) requirement are not available online at DePaul and will need to be completed on campus or transferred in from another institution.
