Argentina and Chile
Study Abroad
Through this short-term program, students explore the history, culture, economics and politics of two major Latin American countries in the context of recent economic and political changes. Students will meet with students and faculty members at universities, representatives of the arts, domestic and foreign businesses, a U.S. expatriate community and consular officials. They also will visit major points of interest, including cultural and historical institutions. Students will explore each country’s major cities (Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Argentina; Santiago, Valparaiso, Vina Del Mar, Chile; La Colonia, Uruguay) to gain insight into the people, their cultures, and their traditions.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Study Abroad
In this short-term program, graduate and undergraduate computer science students investigate information technology in three Brazilian cities. In Brazil’s former capital, Rio de Janeiro, students will visit businesses, government offices, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions. They will travel to Curitiba, known for its public planning, and to Florianopolis, a rapidly growing city on the coast of southern Brazil.
