Dr. Montgomery received his B.S. (1982) and M.S.(1986) in Geology from Baylor University, and his Ph.D. in Soil Science from Washington State University in 1993. Since coming to DePaul in 1992, Dr. Montgomery has taught a number of environmental science courses, including ENV 102 (Introduction to Environmental Science), ENV 115 (Environmental Geology), ENV 200 (Cities and the Environment), ENV 202 (Resources, Population, and the Environment), and ENV 350 (Environmental Impact Analysis), as well as some chemistry courses. Dr. Montgomery belongs to several professional organizations, including the Soil Science Society of America, the Soil and Water Conservation Society, the Union of Concerned Scientists, and the National Association of Geoscience Teachers. He currently is the Scholarship Chair of the Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals.
