Student Responsibilities

  • Begin your participation in the DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP) as early as possible in your college experience, prior to completing 30 semester hours/45 quarter hours of college level credit.
  • You must be in good standing at your community college at the time you begin in DAPP and at the time of your admission to DePaul.

  • Complete the DAPP participation form, indicating your intended date of transfer and major. If you have not decided on a major, you may join DAPP by identifying yourself as an "undeclared major." Your degree requirements will not be able to be locked in until your major is declared.

  • Notify both your community college and DePaul University of your intent to participate in DePaul Admission Partnership Program, your intended date of transfer and major, if known. Notify both schools if your intent, date of transfer or major changes.

  • Follow counseling provided by DePaul Transfer Admission Counselor. Admission to some programs, such as Business and Education, have additional specific major-related requirements which will need to be satisfied in your junior and senior years at DePaul University.

  • Maintain continuous enrollment of at least two courses per term, not including summer, in a transfer degree program.

  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress. A cumulative GPA of 2.00 at your community college is required to maintain your eligibility for admission to DePaul and the program of your choice. College of Business programs and School of Education programs require a cumulative transfer GPA of 2.50.

  • Submit your updated transcripts at the completion of each term to the Office of Undergraduate Admission. A final official transcript from your transfer community college must be submitted for your formal admission decision at the time of transfer. Discrepancies between your transcripts and your official transcript will be reviewed and could result in termination of the provisions of DAPP.

  • Enroll as a transfer student at DePaul within three academic years of initial participation in DAPP.
