0Become a top-notch scientist, researcher and scholar
DePaul's Master of Science in Chemistry prepares you for advanced work in chemistry and biochemistry, and for further graduate study at the doctorate-level. The small size of our program means that you will have an opportunity to work closely with our faculty members on challenging problems both in the classroom and the research laboratory. Our faculty have active research programs that, as a group, cover all areas of chemistry and biochemistry, and our facilities include modern teaching laboratories, the latest in chemical instrumentation, a computational laboratory, and a machine shop.
In the Chemistry (MS) program, you will have the option of completing your program with a thesis based on original research or through additional coursework. You may also be eligible to apply for and receive a graduate assistantship. Most classes are held in the evenings on the Lincoln Park Campus, but some are also offered online. With careful planning, the Chemistry (MS) program can be completed in two years.
If you are an international student, the Chemistry (MS) program is a STEM-designated program, which can qualify you to extend your post-graduation stay in the United States.
