0Enter the nursing field at a higher level
DePaul’s Master’s Entry to Nursing Practice (MENP) program is for college graduates who want to become nurses, but don't have a background in nursing. With our entry level master’s in nursing, you’ll get the same one-on-one, personal attention from faculty members that you’ll give your patients. You will develop the skills you need to excel as a nurse in any specialty you choose.
Through our program, you’ll gain
- credentials beyond a baccalaureate nursing degree
- leadership skills that will help you move into administrative, educational or advocacy roles
- research expertise that hospital administrators and medical investigators value
You’ll also be eligible for the RN licensure examination (NCLEX-RN).
Program formats
This program is offered in two formats, both providing the same high-quality education and clinical experiences at our Lincoln Park campus. You can choose between the two-year Accelerated option or the new three-year Balanced Stride, depending on your preferred pace and level of flexibility.
- The Accelerated MENP is completed in 24 consecutive months fast tracking your nursing career.
- Balanced Stride spans 36 consecutive months and is designed for those with busy lives who need more flexibility in their time to completion. Cohorts are formed every spring quarter and offer students a flexible study option that allows you to pursue your nursing education while maintaining work or other personal commitments.
Regardless of which option you choose, all of your lab experiences will be done in person on the Lincoln Park campus and your clinical assignments will happen at sites throughout the Chicagoland area.
