Community-Based Service Learning

​​​​Over the past four academic years, the Steans Center has supported nearly 700 community-based service learning (CbSL) courses across more than 80 academic departments and programs  with support from more than 180 community organizations and over 130 faculty members.​

Across this time, over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students have participated in CbSL courses, contributing an estimated 244,000+ hours of service to Chicagoland communities.
