Community-Based Service Learning

Over the past four academic years, the Steans Center has supported nearly 700 community-based service learning (CbSL) courses across more than 80 academic departments and programs  with support from more than 180 community organizations and over 130 faculty members.

Across this time, over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students have participated in CbSL courses, contributing an estimated 244,000+ hours of service to Chicagoland communities.
