Admission to the Conservatory
An audition or an interview (depending on your program) is required for admission to The Theatre School; students must submit an application ​to DePaul University (naming their intended major) before they can begin the audition or interview process.

Design wigs and makeup for the stage

 The Theatre School’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Wig and Makeup Design & Technology is designed to help you develop your artistic vision while gaining the practical experience needed to succeed as a professional wig and makeup artist. Through this program, you will learn techniques in wig construction and styling, makeup design and application, actor hair styling, and the creation of makeup prosthetics.

Your training will reflect the workflow of a professional wig and makeup artist, allowing you to collaborate with actors, directors, designers, technicians, and professional shop staff as you build your technical and creative skills. The BFA Wig and Makeup Design & Technology program will help prepare you to pursue careers in theatre, film, and other entertainment industries while developing the portfolio and experience you need to support your professional goals.
