Bio:
Danny Rigoni is an instructor in the Department of Finance and Real Estate at DePaul University. He passionate not only about using real estate as a tool to build communities, create urban experience, and for economic development, but also developing the next generation of leaders in the commercial real estate industry. Over the last 10 years, he’s built a career as a problem solver for Chicago centric, entrepreneurial real estate development and investment firms. He has taken a hands-on role in the development and asset management of a variety of multifamily, retail, medical, and office properties across Chicago’s neighborhoods and suburbs.
Notable projects that Danny has played a role in include: The Concord at Sheridan (ground-up development featuring 120 mixed-income apartments and a 25,000 SF Target Store in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood); 3 built-to-suit 10,000 SF net leased medical office buildings for DaVita Dialysis in Chicago’s Garfield Park, Irving Park, and Brighton Park communities, Platform 4611 (ground-up 200 unit market rate apartment building in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood), 820 Davis (acquisition, value-add renovation, and asset management of an 85,000 RSF office building in downtown Evanston), and 1155 Fulton (fee development, adaptive reuse, asset management, and property management of a 97,500 RSF office building leased to Kimberly-Clark in Chicago’s Fulton Market).
Danny’s level of passion for his career goes beyond the workplace through his strong level of industry involvement. He remains active at DePaul as a student mentor, frequent guest speaker, and adjunct professor. He currently serves as co-president of DREAA (DePaul Real Estate Alumni Alliance). He is also an active member of ULI, where he is a member of the Chicago Product Council’s Green Flight and a University Connections undergraduate student mentor.
He has previously served as a member of the board of directors for REIA, a Chicago based interdisciplinary real estate group and co-chaired their Emerging Leaders contingent for young professionals and as a board member of the Rogers Park Builders Group.
