Dr Jess Vogt is a social-ecological systems scientist. She specializes in the study of urban forests using mixed qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Dr. Vogt is active in the regional urban forest professional community, serving as Chair to the City of Chicago Urban Forestry Advisory Board (URL: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/streets/provdrs/forestry/svcs/chicago-urban-forestry-advisory-board.html) and on the Steering Committee of the Northwest Indiana CommuniTree initiative (https://www.in.gov/nirpc/environment/communitree/).
