Biography
Joe Veverka is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Marketing, and Business Analytics at DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business, where he has taught since 2019. A proud DePaul alumnus, he earned both his MBA and Master of Science in Marketing from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, graduating with Distinction. Joe brings a practitioner’s perspective into the classroom, with a focus on clarity, credibility, and real-world application.
Professionally, Joe is a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft Advertising, working within Global Sales Strategy & Operations. His work sits at the intersection of generative AI, data strategy, analytics, and large-scale automation, where he helps design systems and workflows that support global advertising and media sales organizations. He has partnered with major industry leaders including Roku, Netflix, and Snap, and has contributed to early Microsoft 365 Copilot product research through survey design, telemetry analysis, and user-insight synthesis.
Over more than two decades, Joe has led and supported complex initiatives across strategy, operations, digital media, advertising, and technology. Since joining Microsoft, he has been recognized with numerous internal awards for role excellence, consumer analytics, and program leadership, and is known for navigating ambiguity, identifying net-new opportunities, and driving impact through cross-functional collaboration at global scale. He is also an active ally and mentor within Microsoft’s cultural efforts, supporting inclusive leadership, coaching, and community building.
In the classroom, Joe is consistently recognized for teaching effectiveness, real-world relevance, and the creation of supportive, respectful learning environments. His courses emphasize applied communication, ethical decision-making, and the ability to translate complex ideas and data analysis into clear, compelling messages.
