BIO

Jon Rogala is a multidisciplinary artist, technologist and organizer.

Throughout his career in film, television, and advertising visual effects, he has joined and led esteemed creative teams among MPC, Framestore, and more. He has developed imagery and messaging for Film/TV clients such as Disney, Universal, and Warner Brothers—as well as countless international advertising brands, including Microsoft, Apple and Google.

His images have been recognized with Academy Awards and British Arrows, among other awards.

His personal practice and explorations focus on multimodal art aimed towards creating community spaces rooted in connection and expression.

Jon teaches as an adjunct professor of arts at DePaul University's Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media. He was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts from DePaul University, specializing in Animation, Interactive Technology, and Computer Graphics in Cinema.

He is an active member of the Visual Effects Society, and continues to freelance as a lead/senior visual effects artist while pursuing graduate studies at the University of Chicago.
