Kimyatta J. Gainey

Kimyatta J. Gainey joined the College of Law in October 2005. She is the head of access services at the Rinn Law Library, where she oversees all aspects of circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan, stack maintenance and patron services. In this role, she manages the daily delivery of front-line services that support the research and instructional needs of law students, faculty, staff and legal professionals. 

Kimyatta has over 20 years of experience in academic law librarianship with a background in access services, resource sharing and staff management. She received a BS in community health with a minor in gerontology from Northern Illinois University; two MS degrees from DePaul University—one in public services management and the other in business information technology; and a post-master's certificate in project management, also from DePaul.
