Lauren Paez

Lauren Paez serves as Associate Director of Academic Advising in the College of Science and Health at DePaul University. She has been part of the College of Science and Health since 2011 and previously advised in the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences. Over the years, she has supported students across many majors and currently focuses on Environmental Science and Studies, Mathematical Sciences, and Health Sciences. She has served as a Chicago Quarter staff professional, contributed to the DePaul Women’s Network Steering Committee, and supported university advising initiatives.

A significant part of Lauren’s role includes welcoming new first-year and transfer students during summer and quarterly orientations. She is passionate about helping students feel connected, confident, and prepared from their very first quarter. Lauren’s advising philosophy centers on providing thoughtful support and genuine care while helping students map out courses, develop clear degree plans, and move steadily toward graduation and their future goals.

A proud “double Demon,” Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and her Master’s degree in Counseling with a focus in Higher Education from DePaul University.

Outside of work, she is a mom of two girls, loves taking walks, and is happily fueled by coffee and Post-its. Students are always welcome to schedule an appointment — whether they need help navigating their DPR, mapping out a plan, or just a little encouragement along the way.
