BIO

Maria Harrigan has been an assistant defender at the Office of the State Appellate Defender since August 1988. During the course of her career, she has argued numerous times in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Districts of the Illinois Appellate Court, as well as seven times before the Illinois Supreme Court. Harrigan has taught the Criminal Appeals Legal Clinic since Fall 2011.
