Maria Vertuno

Maria Vertuno joined DePaul Law in 2017, serving as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs since January 2018. Prior to joining DePaul, she served as program director for UChicago Careers in Law at the University of Chicago and director of the Pre-Law Center at Bradley University. During her time in higher education, Vertuno has developed expertise in student affairs administration, law school admissions advising and career counseling. She has experience creating and executing law-related educational programming, student counseling and academic advising, developing internship and experiential education opportunities, and teaching legal writing, trial advocacy and other law related courses to both undergraduates and law students. Vertuno also spent 15 years as a litigator and was a partner in a Chicago law firm before leaving practice to work full time with students interested in the legal profession.
