Michael Schiffer
BIO
Mike Schiffer provides leadership for technology services in the College of Law, overseeing the work of the IT support staff and ensuring the smooth functioning of the law school’s network and computing operations. The Law Tech Team also serves as the College of Law’s primary point of contact with University Information Services, other university stakeholders and outside technology providers.
Mike’s current role builds on his extensive background as a law librarian, during which he conducted legal reference and research and managed the Vincent G. Rinn Law Library’s technology needs. He is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Chicago Association of Law Libraries, and he serves on DePaul University’s Teaching, Learning and Technology Committee.
He earned a BA from the University of Chicago, a JD from the University of Michigan and an MLIS from Dominican University, and he is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
