Richie Heard
BIO
Richie Heard serves as the Associate Director of Advising and Student Success. In his current role, Richie provides direct academic advising to B.A. online majors and B.S. Psychology majors, helping students navigate degree requirements, career mapping, and the transition into the professional world.
Richie’s approach to student success is rooted in the Vincentian mission of service and equity. He views advising as a teaching opportunity—empowering students to take ownership of their educational journeys while providing the resources and advocacy necessary to overcome obstacles. His expertise includes curriculum planning, degree progress monitoring, and holistic advising student support.
Richie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
