Robert Schur
BIO
Robert Schur is a director of fiduciary advisory services at BMO Family Office in Chicago. His professional interests are at the intersection of trusts and estates and finance. He advises the bank's clients on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and the investment and tax considerations inherent to each. Prior to joining BMO, Schur practiced as a trusts and estates attorney at Hamilton Thies Lorch LLP, a boutique trusts and estates firm, and as a banking and finance attorney at Baker McKenzie LLP.
Schur is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Florida. He earned his JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and his BA in history from Cornell University, both manga cum laude.
At DePaul Law, Schur teaches Wills & Trusts. Prior to joining DePaul, he taught Legal Writing I & II and Professional Identity Formation at Loyola Chicago.
