Biography

Ryen Speed is an adjunct instructor at DePaul University, where she teaches Auditing courses. She is a finance leader with more than 15 years of audit and advisory experience across Fortune 200 companies in diverse industries. A PwC alumna, she has extensive expertise in internal controls over financial reporting, risk management, process improvement, and finance transformation.

Her current professional focus includes risk-based auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and readiness resulting from significant process transformation, M&A integration, and enterprise-wide system implementation. In the classroom, Ryen emphasizes preparing future auditors and accountants to help business leaders address complex, evolving risk challenges and support today's high-growth, rapidly changing corporate environment.
