Biography

Shailaja Mallick is a Professional Lecturer of Business Analytics in the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at the Driehaus College of Business. She earned her doctoral degree from Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. Prior to pursuing her Master's degree, she worked as a Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services. Here at Depaul, she teaches Statistical tools for Business Analytics, Descriptive and Diagnostic Analytics, and Machine Learning for Managers. Her research interests are in the areas of network science and applied machine learning techniques. Specifically, she is interested in modeling how rumor/fake news/opinion spread among individuals in a social network.​
