BIO

Shaye Loughlin is executive director of DePaul’s Center for Public Interest Law, where she works with faculty, staff, students, alumni and community partners on academic opportunities and co-curricular programs. In this role, she supervises the pro bono program, manages public interest funding opportunities and oversees the Public Interest Law Certificate program, the Journal for Social Justice and the Loan Repayment Assistance Program. 

Shaye has served on advisory boards for the Public Interest Law Initiative and the National Advisory Committee for Equal Justice Works. She also is a Mission Ambassador, a member of the Council on Community Engagement and an adjunct professor for DePaul’s Croak Community Legal Clinic. 

Before joining DePaul, Shaye worked for the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Community Economic Development Law Project and volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services. She also has experience leading service immersion trips with the Civic Education Project at Northwestern University and previously worked with the Volunteer Legal Service Program’s Homeless Advocacy Project in San Francisco.
