It's Never Too Late

It’s never too late to pursue your degree at DePaul’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Gloria D. Daniels (SCPS ’25) is proving just that.

In a combined degree program, Daniels earned her bachelor’s in business administration in June 2025 and is now studying for a master’s in organizational leadership. She began her career more than 50 years ago as a receptionist in Chicago. Through determination, relationship building and a stellar reputation, she moved up the corporate career ladder, eventually becoming the global vice president of integrated marketing communications at a beauty conglomerate. She has also started her own marketing agency.

Daniels achieved success without a formal degree, but it was a lifelong dream to earn one. Going back to school, she says, has allowed her to understand the theory behind her real-world practical knowledge.

“If you come to a point in life, no matter your age, where you cease to seek knowledge and understanding, you stop growing. I never want that,” Daniels says. “I recognized that I needed to earn my degree. I chose DePaul’s SCPS.” — CC
