On Monday, Nov. 14, therapy dogs from Medinah Shrine Therapy Dog Club will be on the Lincoln Park Campus Quad to ease the stress of Blue Demons as they prepare for fall quarter finals. All members of the campus community are welcome to stop by between 1 - 3 p.m. to spend time with the pups.​

​​​​​Though not the first time therapy dogs have been to campus, this fall's initiative was a collaborative effort between Student Government Association and the College of Science and Health Student Association.

"CSHSA members Gavin Salas, Jordan Hermosillo and I began brainstorming ideas for the association's premier event last spring. Our goal was to ensure this program​ benefited CSH students, as we are guided by serving the student body and improving the CSH student experience," says Ana Karen Delgado Ayala, the SGA senator for CSH. "We chose to arrange a therapy dog event because we knew it would considerably boost the welfare and happiness of all students, especially as stress levels increase towards the end of the quarter."Beyond this month's event, the team hopes to bring the initiative back each quarter."We look forward to making this a recurring event for all students to enjoy ," Delgado Ayala says. "As our organization grows, we hope to inspire present and future students in finding ways to take care of each other and the greater DePaul community for many years to come."
