The Steans Center awards Community-based Research (CbR) Faculty Fellowships each year based on available resources. Submission to become a CbR Faculty Fellow can be made at any time and is open to all full-time tenure track and term faculty at DePaul University. The Center is not able to accept submissions from part-time or adjunct faculty.

Funding support for CbR Faculty Fellows is based on the research goals of the project, as collaboratively designed with community partners.  Types of financial support include:

  • Faculty stipend
  • Community partner stipend(s)
  • DePaul student research assistant (s)
  • Transportation support (van/bus)
  • Support for conference attendance
  • Publication support
  • Research equipment

Senior Faculty Fellowship. Past fellowship recipients may apply to be a senior fellow. Criteria for the senior fellowship are the same as for first-time applicants. There are no limits to the number of fellowship projects that can be submitted for support.
