International Student Orientation

All admitted international undergraduate, graduate, or transfer students holding F-1 and J-1 visas must complete the following:

  • Pre-Arrival Orientation (Online)
  • Arrival Orientation (In-Person)
  • Immigration Document Check-in (Online)

Pre-Arrival Orientation​

Prepare for a smooth start! Our Pre-Arrival Orientation is an online, self-paced course that you must complete before attending the on-campus orientation. It’s an important first step in your journey.
 

Airport Welcome

We’re here to make your arrival easier! The Airport Welcome program is an optional program available on select dates at the start of the academic year. It is designed to greet and assist you when you arrive in Chicago for the first time. 
 

Start your experience at DePaul with confidence! Arrival Orientation is designed to help you settle in during your first weeks in Chicago. You'll also receive important guidance on your student visa. From understanding campus life to making meaningful connections with friends and staff around campus, we are here to support you.

Online Legal Document Check-In​

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019, you must complete your online legal document check-in.  This is a required step in maintaining your student visa status in the U.S. and if not completed by the deadline, your status will be terminated.
