Enrollment

Winter & Spring 2026 admits: Declare your intent to enroll through Blue Demon Domain within two weeks of receiving your offer of admission. ​

Fall 2026 admits: Declare your intent to enroll through Blue Demon Domain by May 1st, 2026. ​

Freshman: Submit your $200 non-refundable tuition deposit through Blue Demon Domain. (Note: Your deposit will be credited to your student account and will be deducted from your bill after you register for classes and will only apply to the term for which you've been admitted).

Submit Campus Housing Agreement

Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date your Housing Agreement, prepayment and parent/guardian voucher (if required) are received by the Department of Housing. Specific residence halls and roommates requests are not guaranteed.

To apply for on-campus housing, submit your Housing Agreement and prepayment through the Housing link in Blue Demon Domain.

Within 48 hours of declaring your intent to enroll and, for freshman, paying the tuition deposit, International Admissions will invite you to the online SEVIS I-20 portal by sending a link to your DePaul email. You will upload all required documentation to the online portal.

The link to the I-20 portal will only be sent to your DePaul University email account (BlueM@il). You can find information on how to set up and access your BlueM@il here.

Please note: Required documents vary by student and the online I-20 request platform will provide the exact requirements for your student type and situation. ​​

Prior to registering for orientation, you will need to complete DePaul’s required placement tests for writing and mathematics online.  You may be exempt ​from the placement process based on previous transfer credit. To see if you have fulfilled these requirements or to complete your placement process, go to Blue Demon Domain​ and use the "Complete Your Placement Process" link on your checklist. 

If you have completed exams through Advanced Placement courses, the International Baccalaureate program and A/S or A Levels, you may receive course credit from DePaul based on your scores/transcripts.

You may have your scores/transcripts sent electronically by th​e testing agency, or you may mail them to:

Register for Transition DePaul Orientation: Freshman Students

The Premiere DePaul Orientation program will provide you with information you need before beginning your first day of classes. During Premiere DePaul Orientation, you will meet with classmates, become acquainted with the campus.

Sign up for Premiere DePaul Orientation through Blue Demon Domain beginning in April for freshman students admitted for the fall quarter. To access this registration, you will first need to complete the required placement process and your Pre-Orientation Online Module.

Register for Transition DePaul Orientation: Transfer Students

DePaul's transfer student orientation program - Transition DePaul - is a two-part orientation virtual orientation. Once you have completed the Pre-Orientation Online Module and the placement process outlined above, you will then register for the mandatory virtual orientation program. This is a 90 minute orientation via Zoom.

Transition DePaul orientation programs are offered quarterly throughout the year.

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019 from DePaul University,you must complete an electronic immigration document check-in with International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) and update your local U.S. address in Campus Connect within the first week of your arrival on campus.

A class registration hold has been placed on your student account and will not be released until ISS receives and reviews your immigration documents and verifies that your local address has been entered in Campus Connect. If your documents are not successfully submitted, you will receive an email from ISS with further instructions.

All admitted international undergraduate and transfer students holding F-1 and J-1 visas are required to complete both a pre-arrival online orientation and attend International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) on-campus international student orientation, as well as complete an online legal document check-in.

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019, you must complete an online immigration document check-in.

You must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for need-based financial aid. Submit the FAFSA as soon as possible for consideration for the upcoming quarters.

• Go to the FAFSA website to file your FAFSA application.
• Use the School Code Search and select DePaul (#001671) as the school to which you would like your FAFSA information sent.

DePaul considers all international freshmen for the Global DePaul Scholarship when they apply with awards ranging from $12,000 to $32,000. Current students can explore and apply for additional scholarships by logging into Scholarship Connect with their DePaul University BlueKey credentials.

Enrollment is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance through all of your educational terms. Send us your official, final transcript from the institution you most recently attended as soon as it becomes available. Failure to submit your final transcript will prevent you from registering for classes.

If you should fall below the academic standards on which your admission was based or exhibit a significant change in character, DePaul has the right to revoke your offer of admission, withdraw you from any courses for which you have registered and institute additional requirements for reapplication. ​
